Brian is a native of McKean, Pennsylvania and a graduate of General McLane High School. He received his BA in history from Calvin College and his Master of Divinity degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Brian’s passion is teaching, particularly explaining the books of the Bible to make them relevant and accessible to current culture. He is very interested in the changing role of the church in a post-Christian culture. Brian is married to Tavia and they have three children Nathan, Ansley and Bria. In the winter you can find Brian on the area’s ski slopes and in the summer sailing on Lake Erie. At home, Brian enjoys cooking and horseback riding.
Ben is the digital site pastor for McLane Church. His favorite teams wear black and gold; he loves lasagna, talks with his hands, and is a little bit Type A. Ben and his wife Amy have 4 children that don’t stop growing. At the end of the day, Ben is still trying to figure out how not to be wasted talent.
Chris leads McLane's first-ever online church as the site pastor. His primary role is to oversee all online services and be available throughout the service to engage with visitors and viewers by promoting conversation, community, prayer and pastoral support. When he's not logged on, Chris can usually be found with his family at a Cleveland Indians game, more than likely with his phone out tweeting about the game.
As the Edinboro Site Pastor, one of Mike’s favorite things is working closely with people and watching them grow in their faith. He loves that the people at McLane are genuine and the Gospel message is clear. He feels honored to be able to take what God has given him in life experiences and education and use it to incite spiritual growth. Mike and his wife Barb have three daughters and grandchildren that they enjoy visiting in Vermont and Montana. Mike would love to see you at McLane Church.
Lynora is the site pastor at our Union City location where she leads ministry teams dedicated to building community through dynamic worship and engaging small groups. Lynora enjoys hanging out with students and serving the Union City community. When not working, Lynora loves exploring the outdoors, jigsaw puzzles, and playing Scrabble with her husband Jim.
Jane directs McLane Kids teams at all of our sites ensuring safe and fun environments so children can connect with Jesus Christ. Jane and her husband Jay have two children that keep her happy and busy.
Amy works McLane Kids, and has many years of experience working with young children with varying special needs. She loves supporting families in raising children for Christ and seeing kids' eyes opened to the love of Jesus for the first time. Growing up, Amy had two pet goats, Buttercup and Goober, that got her into a lot of trouble! Feel free to ask her about them sometime. She enjoys the simple things in life, like eating chocolate and vanilla twist ice cream cones, walking in the woods, and sitting on her porch swing. Mostly, Amy enjoys spending time with her husband, Ben, and their four children: Anna, Meghan, Sam, and Emma.
Randy is a life-long resident of the village of McLane, graduating from the General McLane School District. He attended LeTourneau University in Longview, TX returning home to establish his personal and professional lives. Randy is married to Janet, and they have two children, Matthew and Aimee, and two grandsons, Gideon and Ezra. When Randy isn't using his extensive mechanical skills to keep our buildings clean and safe, he enjoys hunting, shooting, and collecting acoustic guitars.
Tavia works with our Life Groups team to ensure people at McLane Church can connect in friendship for wholehearted living behind the lead of Jesus. Tavia believes that God’s best work happens when sharing everyday life with others who are pursuing life in Christ. You might find her own group meeting at a Presque Isle beach or Wegmans, two of her favorite places. She loves traveling adventures, volleyball, reading what her children recommend, and long family meals that her husband Brian cooks.
Kathy provides support to the senior pastor. She is an organizer with great attention to detail that allows Brian to preach and lead McLane Church with minimal distractions. Kathy is a friendly voice and face within the busy life of our church. She loves to read and attend shows at the Erie Playhouse. Kathy and her husband Andy have three children, Chris, Sam, and Audrey.
Chrissi works with ministry leaders and pastors to communicate all of the latest news in our church and in our communities. On a given day she could be writing announcements for Church Online, coordinating publicity for an event, or posting on social media. In her personal time, Chrissi enjoys spending time with her husband and three sons. When she is not in the bleachers at a sporting event, you can find her walking, reading, or relaxing on her pontoon boat.
Rick comes to McLane Church as Chief of Staff after having served 41 years in education. He began at General McLane as a music teacher, served in leadership in the high school and in the final 11 years as superintendent. Rick is excited to be a part of the church’s dynamic mission and outreach. In addition to his administrative duties at the church, he volunteers in the music and teen ministries.
Spence oversees the worship and production teams for McLane Church. It's his mission each week for McLane worship to be authentic and engaging. What Spence loves most about his job is the opportunity to help make a difference in someone's eternity. When he's not at church or spending time with his wife and two kids, Spence enjoys cheering on his childhood-hometown Pittsburgh Penguins and chasing Phish around the country.
In Brian’s role at McLane, he is privileged to see firsthand as God faithfully provides for His Church in the day-to-day operations. As a support to the staff, he manages all accounting services and business correspondence. Brian is married to Kelley and together they enjoy their four children and their spouses, and six grandchildren.
Kelley serves as the Administrative Leader for Office Operations. Her goal is to help the church staff do their jobs well by being an administrative support, and by helping to create a welcoming environment for visitors and a positive and encouraging environment for the staff. You’ll rarely find her away from her husband, children, and grandchildren.
