Christmas

Bible Viewfinder: Advent

Pastor Lynora encouraged us in her message on November 26 to explore the words of Advent, seek out what they mean and how they’re woven into our relationship with God and others. Here are some resources to help you do that:

Is There a Santa Claus? by Francis Pharcellus Church

You’re invited to experience Christmas Eve at McLane Church!

Whether you come every week or visit once in a while, we are grateful you’re part of our community.

Christmas reminds us that no matter what we’re facing, God’s love, peace, joy, and hope find us right where we are.

Come celebrate Jesus—our source of hope—with meaningful worship, an encouraging message, and the beauty of “Silent Night” by candlelight. And you can participate in the Care Fund offering, which goes directly to help our neighbors in need throughout this region.

Bring your family, invite a friend, and experience the wonder and warmth of Christmas at McLane Church.

We can’t wait to celebrate with you.

Merry Christmas!

New Here?

Connect with our friendly volunteers or the site pastor, and please fill out a Connect Card. You'll find those at our sites or there's a link at the bottom of this page and you can fill one out online. We'd love to meet you and answer any questions you may have.

Service Length

Our Christmas Eve services last about one hour and include special music, reading the Christmas story, a message, prayer, the Care Fund offering, and other special elements like videos and singing by candlelight. And on December 23, you are invited to stay for cookies and cocoa after the service!

Dress Code

There is no dress code: We invite you to come as you are. You'll see every kind of attire from jeans to dress clothes...we invite you to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable.

Care Fund Offering

Giving is one of the ways we worship God. At all of our Christmas Eve gatherings, you can participate in the special Care Fund offering. 100 percent of the money given is used to help our neighbors in the communities we serve. We help those in need with housing, transportation, utility and medical bills, and so much more. This is a great way to "be the good" in our community and know that every penny you donate to the Care Fund is going to help others.

Kids

We will have childcare during our Christmas Eve gatherings in Edinboro for infants and toddlers. Children are welcome in the Worship Center to participate in the service with their families, and we will have some fun and special items ready just for them!

Other Info

On December 23, enjoy free cookies and cocoa after the Christmas Eve gatherings! Everyone is welcome to stay and enjoy this special time. If you have any questions, please give us a call at 814-734-1907, or send an email to info@mclanechurch.org. Visit our locations page to find your McLane Church site.
